KUCHING, SARAWAK – Fly Zone Enterprise, in collaboration with SG Academy, is conducting the Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency - Basic (RCOC-B) training programme at Politeknik Kuching Sarawak, bringing together participants for a combination of classroom learning and practical drone flight training.
The programme is designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of safe and responsible drone operations while providing the essential knowledge and practical exposure required for professional remote pilot operations.
Training materials, including the RCOC-B Trainee Manual, drone logbook and maintenance checklist, are provided to support participants throughout the programme and serve as useful references for their future drone operations.
Throughout the training, participants are introduced to key areas including drone operation procedures, flight safety, pre-flight preparation, operational planning, drone logbook and maintenance practices, and practical flight handling. Classroom sessions are complemented by outdoor practical exercises, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a controlled training environment.
During the practical sessions, trainees receive hands-on exposure to drone preparation, flight procedures and safe operating practices. The outdoor training also gives participants an opportunity to build confidence in operating unmanned aircraft while following proper operational and safety procedures.
The training programme also highlights the importance of developing competent and safety-conscious drone pilots as the use of unmanned aircraft continues to expand across industries such as surveying and mapping, construction, infrastructure inspection, agriculture, photography, security and other professional applications.
